Game and Web Design Program

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Game and Web Design at Sanford-Brown College - St. Peters (SBC) is designed to provide students with the technical and practical training necessary for entry-level positions within the interactive media industry. The Game and Web Design program offers students the opportunity to learn techniques used in the development of 2D and 3D graphics for Game and Web applications, as well as the principles of basic programming and scripting for game engines, websites and Internet games. Students will be required to complete courses in General Education and Core Requirements, including a 120-hour game design capstone experience. This course integrates concepts and work from throughout the program in a simulated game design studio environment. Students are typically taught by more than one instructor during their program of study.

Accreditation is a voluntary process which may be undertaken by schools to demonstrate compliance with specific standards designed to indicate a level of education quality. SBC is institutionally accredited (accredited in total) by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), a national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (DOE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This indicates that SBC substantially meets or exceeds the stated criteria of education quality established by ACICS, and approved by the DOE and CHEA. This recognition of institutional accreditation by ACICS entitles SBC to offer Title IV Financial Assistance to students who qualify.
